How to fix Skystem PDF Export Issues
About: When exporting reports from Skystem, the resulting .zip files may fail to open or appear corrupted. This guide explains how to fix the file extension so the PDFs can be extracted successfully.
Note: The Skystem report must already be downloaded to your computer.
| Enable File Name Extensions
Windows hides file extensions by default. You must enable them to change the file type.
Open the folder containing your downloaded Skystem report. At the top of the file explorer window, click the View tab. Click on Show, then select File name extensions (ensure there is a checkmark next to it).
|
| Rename the File Extension
- Locate the Skystem export file (e.g., Report_Name.zip).
- Right-click the file and select Rename, or click the file and press F2 on your keyboard.
Highlight the .zip portion at the end of the name and change it to .7z (e.g., Report_Name.7z).
If a warning appears asking if you are sure you want to change the extension, click Yes.
|
| Right click the folder, and click extract all. Follow the prompt to extract the .7z file.
|
 | End Result
The extracted folder will now contain the PDF documents, which can be opened normally using Adobe Acrobat.

If you still cannot open the files after renaming them, please submit a ticket to the IT Team at support@hhmhotels.com.
